Sublimed Maturity

330 is a significant set of numbers – it takes three hours and thirty minutes for fresh green tea leaves to be roasted to give a rich wheat aroma. This number is the time required to sublimate the best flavour for an enhanced green tea experience.

Our Roasted Tea 330 is especially suitable for tea drinkers who also love coffee or a more roasted taste. Using Thai green tea leaves with one bud and two or three leaves, the base of the leaves maintains its original dark green colour even after going through a medium roast. The high temperature used heightens the natural aroma of roasted wheat and lessens the bitterness from the catechins and also the stimulation from caffeine. A milder but longer-lasting sweetness remains as both the fragrance and the taste of the tea is enhanced.

We roast our tea differently from the Japanese way of roasting tea, as we do not involve the stem of the leaves. According to the Japanese green tea grading, this tea is classified as “roasted sencha”.
